Arcade Mode Creates Online Space For Francophile Hipsters

An online shop is all Arcade Mode is. Yet, it's also the online locus for a handful of affiliated Parisian crews spanning the punky dance freakouts of Vice Recordings signees Justice, Daft Punk manager Pedro Winter's Headbangers and Ed Bangers imprints, frech hip hop heroes TTC and their affilate labels and collaborators.

Using it's bare bones webstore interface to it's advantage, Arcade Mode has become the go to website for the latest heat from Paris' cooler-than-cool music scene, where techno, house and crunk-inspired hip hop rub shoulders in ways these disparate sounds never seem to do in the US. As such, it's attracted an international following of dance music fanatics, open minded hip hop kids and style obsessives attracted by the superb graphic designs contributed to the record sleeves, mixtape covers and t shirts sold on the site by artists like Some and Akroe.

With an extended family that stretches to include collaborators like Chromeo, Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez, Cassius and Air's record label, there's bound to be something of interest so long as you keep an open mind.
