A Crafty Bit of Appropriation

It's nothing new in streetwear to appropriate corporate logos and branding. Just look back at the those Fuct tees repurposing the Ford logo from back in the days. Or those "Farfrompukin" bumper stickers lampooning Volkswagon that have made frat boys chuckle for a decade at least.

But seeing a craft bit of corporate misappropriation for the sake of design retains that illicit thrill, proof that wit still exists out there. Streetwear line BrknHome has done an excellent job with this in a pair of tee shirts from their Spring/Summer collection.

Utilizing elements from the packaging of Marlboro cigarettes, BrknHome have made two shirts (in regular and lights!) featuring the tagline "Smoke 'em if you got 'em" on the back and minimalist interpretation of the cigarette's iconic red or gold triangular elements.
