UK-based designer Michael C Place started Build with his wife Nicky after nearly ten years at The Designers Republic, one of England's most upfront design houses. Having done work for clients including Warp Records, 2K T Shirts, Hong Kong-based idN Magazine, and Emerge photographer Tim Saccenti, Build is gearing up for a rare gallery show in the always too-cool-for-school Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.

Curated by Barcelona's Maxalot, a gallery/shop/production house for graphic design and street art, On/Off will be a collaboration Commonwealth, an industrial architecture studio. A "complete multi-media environment", On/Off will be installed in a disused warehouse, combining large format printed works with motion graphics by Build with "industrial 3D deconstructions" by Commonwealth.
