Japan's Medicom is the first name in the collectible toy market, hands down. Their Kubrick and Bearbrick series, as well as limited reproductions of set pieces from A Clockwork Orange and 12" tall articulatable Daft Punk action figures have cemented the brand's place as an arbiter of playful adult aesthetics.
Over the past couple of years, the company expanded it's franchise to include a limited range of "lifestyle products" from toiletry kits to pillows, messenger bags, and now dishes as part of it's Fabrick range.
Utilizing graphic contributions from artists like Will Sweeney of EMERGE faves Silas and the post-graffiti pranksters from Australia's Perks and MINI as well as LA's Logan Hicks and many more.
Produced in extremely limited numbers (just like Medicom's other products), Fabrick offers the hipster Martha Stewart a way of bringing a small piece of cutting-edge art and design into your home at a relative bargain. Good luck finding this stuff though. It's only sold at a couple retailers nationwide.
